On November 5, 2025, the University of Kragujevac hosted its Official Welcome Day for students from partner institutions who will be attending classes during the winter semester of the 2025/26 academic year within the Erasmus programme. The welcome ceremony took place in the University Gallery. Twenty exchange students will spend the winter semester studying at various faculties of the University: the Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak, and the Faculty of Philology and Arts. This academic year, we are also proud to welcome the third cohort of students enrolled in the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Biomedical Engineering (EMMBIOME). The University of Kragujevac coordinates and implements this joint programme in cooperation with the University of Patras (Greece) and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Grigore T. Popa” (Romania). As part of their studies, 11 students from 11 countries across 5 continents will spend one semester at the University of Kragujevac. The exchange students were welcomed by Olivera Mijatović, Head of the Department for International Cooperation, together with the administrative coordinators for the Erasmus+ mobility programme and the Erasmus Mundus master’s programme. Following the welcome session, students visited the University Library, Gallery "Legacy of Nikola Koka Janković", after which they took part in a guided visit to the “Kragujevački oktobar” Memorial Park and a city tour, allowing them to become better acquainted with the culture and history of Kragujevac and the region. We extend our warmest wishes to all students for a successful and inspiring start to the semester.

University of Kragujevac, based on the decision of awarding scholarships to postdoctoral candidates (No. II-01-303/4 on 11.04.2023.), announces the CALL FOR SCHOLARSHIPS FOR POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHERS FROM FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES/SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ORGANIZATIONS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2025/2026   The University of Kragujevac awards one scholarship totaling 1000 euros per month, for postdoctoral specialization for a minimum period of one month to maximum 3 months, during the academic year 2025/2026, for postdoctoral candidates from foreign universities/scientific research organizations that would implement their specialization at the University of Kragujevac. The scholarship is awarded to the candidate who meets the requirements of the competition, who is employed in the foreign university/scientific research organizations and has a doctorate in one of the fields implemented at the University of Kragujevac as follows: A.  natural sciences B.  medical sciences C.  technical and technological sciences D.  social sciences and humanities E.  art   The right to apply has a doctor of science (PhD) who is: employed at the foreign university/scientific research organizations; below the age of 40. The applicant shall submit the following documents: A Completed, personally signed, and certified application for the competition on the form which is an integral part of this Decision; Proof of employment at a foreign university/foreign research organization, along with evidence of the corresponding teaching/scientific title (decision on appointment to the title and employment contract/engagement agreement); Proof of a successfully defended doctoral dissertation (copy of diploma or certificate); Decision of the responsible authority of the foreign university/scientific research organization where the candidate is employed, regarding their professional development and approval of the candidate's absence; Consent of the responsible authority of the foreign university/foreign scientific research institution that the candidate's professional development is in line with the needs of scientific development and is part of the research development program; Biography; Candidate's bibliography; Proof that the candidate has secured a place for professional development at a University - faculty/institute within the University of Kragujevac (invitation letter); Plan and program of work for the postdoctoral professional development of the candidate during the duration of the scholarship (prepared and signed jointly by the candidate and the mentor/supervisor from the faculty/institute within the University where the professional development will take place); Copy of passport; Estimated costs of stay during the professional development, with travel expenses separately indicated.   The required documents should be sent by post to the University of Kragujevac: University of Kragujevac - Rectorate street Liceja Kneževine Srbije 1A 34000 Kragujevac Republic of Serbia with a note: The Call for scholarships for postdoctoral researchers or via e-mail: strucna.sluzba@kg.ac.rs   The deadline for submitting applications for postdoctoral scholarships is May 31, 2024.
