Accreditation

In accordance with the provisions of the Law on Higher Education of the Republic of Serbia, the University of Kragujevac in 2014 initiated a process of external quality inspection and accreditation. In this regard, the Committee for Quality Assurance prepared the documentation necessary for the procedure of checking the quality and accreditation, adopted by the competent authorities of the University and sent to the National Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assurance.

Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assurance of the Republic of Serbia, at the meeting held on November 14, 2014, passed Certificate of Accreditation of the University of Kragujevac, no. 612-00-01104 / 2014-04.

University of Kragujevac, as an independent higher education institution, accepted values and principles of contemporary European university education, bearing in mind the provisions of the Law on Higher Education, the standards of the National Council for Higher Education of the Republic of Serbia, internal quality management systems, as well as building the organizational culture of quality, which operation will provide continuous monitoring, assessment, provision and improvement of quality in all work areas of the University and its faculties.

Ensuring quality of work and studies carried out by the University and its faculties is part of the national quality assurance system and a prerequisite for the comparability of degrees and qualifications within the single European Higher Education Area.

University provides the quality of higher education in accordance with:

• Internationally accepted documents in the field of higher education;
• Law on Higher Education of the Republic of Serbia;
• Regulations on standards for self-evaluation and quality evaluation;
• Regulations on standards for external quality evaluation;
• Regulations on Standards for Accreditation;
• Strategy for quality assurance,
• and other acts.

Management bodies and professional bodies of the University and its faculties, specially formed bodies responsible for quality assurance, teachers and staff, students and other employees of the University are responsible for the quality of academic programs and the implementation of measures to ensure the quality of teaching and working conditions of the University and faculties within the University.

In order to monitor, control, assure and improve quality, the University has established a Commission for Quality Assurance as a professional and advisory body of the Senate and the Rector of the University in the area of quality assurance.

University of Kragujevac is accredited.
