Recognition Procedure of Foreign Qualifications at the University of Kragujevac

In order to continue education at the University of Kragujevac, the student must have his previous qualifications recognized.

The recognition procedure is initiated by submitting the application form and the accompanying documentation by post mail or in person to the following address:

University of Kragujevac, Liceja Knezevine Srbije 1A, 34000 Kragujevac, Republic of Serbia

Required documentation:

  1. A filled in application form in two copies (application form)
  2. Documentation on previously acquired qualification
  1. for the candidates seeking the recognition of the diploma/certificate on acquired degree:
  • three certified copies of diploma and diploma supplement or the certificate on completed studies and the transcript of passed exams (if diploma and diploma supplement have not been issued),
  1. for the candidates seeking the recognition of one part of completed studies for continuing education of the given study level:
  • three certified copies on the transcript of passed exams per semester
  • one certified copy of secondary school diploma (of previously completed educatuion)

The above documents must be legalized ( bear Apostille seal) unless they are issued by the states with which the Republic of Serbia has ratified bilateral agreements on reciprocal exemption from legalization of public documents. The list of these states can be found here.

  1. Three originals of certified translation of the documents from paragraph 2. into Serbian language (by licenced sertified translator) and two photocopies of these translations

Note: The documents which are issued in the official languages of the following states do not need translation: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of North Macedonia, Republic of Croatia and Republic of Montenegro.

  1. Plan and program of the completed studies with a short description of courses (syllabus) issued by the given university or can be found on the university’s website with the translation into Serbian language (in prented or in electronic form – CD or USB). The candidate shall be held legally accountable for the truthfulness of the provided information and translation).
  2. A certified copy of the wedding certificate in case the candidate has changed the last name which was designated on the diploma/certificate.
  3. A photocopy of the first page of the passport (with photograph), or an ID card, if applicable
  4. The Evidence of the payment of:

- the fee for the costs of the recognition procedure made to the University of Kragujevac account in the amount of:

a) 30,000.00 RSD for the recognition of the document on completed or partially completed basic academic, basic vocational or specialist vocational studies (first cycle studies);

b) 40,000.00 RSD for the recognition of the document on completed or partially completed master academic, master vocational or specialist master studies (second cycle studies);

b) 40,000.00 RSD for the recognition of the document on completed or partially completed doctoral academic studies for the purpose of post-doctoral advancement or specialization.

- the administrative fee made to the state account in accordance with the Law on Republic Administrative Fees in the amount of 13,210.00 RSD

Additional information

The recognition of the foreign qualifications for the purpose of employment is conducted by the Republic of Serbia Agency for Qualifications ENIC/NARIC center.

The recognition of secondary school diploma is conducted by the Republic of Serbia Agency for Qualifications ENIC/NARIC center.
